Raven vs Scarlet Witch

Which unstable sorceress will reign supreme? Can the demonspawn Raven defeat Magneto’s mutant daughter Scarlet Witch? YOU can vote below to decide!

Raven

Raven of the Teen Titans

Born and raised in the peaceful alternate dimension known as Azarath, Raven was instructed by her human mother to control her emotions, lest she lose control of the power she inherited from her father. That father was none other than Emperor Trigon, a being created of pure evil energy, and her inherited abilities included empathy, telekinesis, and astral projection.

When Raven learned of her father’s plans to invade Earth, she left Azarath for Earth to warn its inhabitants of the looming threat. Raven initially contacted the Justice League, but was turned away due to the evil that Zatanna sensed within her. Raven then took it upon herself to gather heroes herself, and to that end she manipulated Robin, Wonder Girl, Cyborg, Starfire, Changeling, and Kid Flash into forming the New Teen Titans. With their combined efforts, the Titans were able to defeat the demon lord and lock him away in an extra-dimensional prison.

Scarlet Witch

Scarlet Witch of the Avengers

Raised with her twin brother Quicksilver in the High Evolutionary’s compound in Wundagore, Scarlet Witch and her brother had no idea that their true father was the mutant villain Magneto, even after they were recruited by him into the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Quickly giving up super-villainy, the siblings subsequently joined the Avengers as part of “Cap’s Kooky Quartet.” Scarlet Witch became a mainstay of the team, and married her android teammate Vision. The two even managed to have children, but they were later revealed to be figments of Scarlet Witch’s reality altering powers.

Scarlet Witch’s mental state became increasingly unstable, culminating in a full breakdown in the “Avengers Disassembled” event. During this storyline, Scarlet Witch conjures various threats while simultaneously manipulating the Avengers’ behavior. As a result, Ant-Man (Scott Lang), Vision, and Hawkeye were killed and the Avengers temporarily disbanded. Her psyche would further deteriorate during the “House of M” crossover, in which she briefly recreated reality so that her family ruled it, but ultimately returned the universe to normal with one exception: “No more mutants.”
